Mission
Danse K par K is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create, produce and present rich, authentic works that promote the emergence of new forms of relationships and interactions with the public. Committed to the development of its discipline, the company also develops projects that stimulate the growth of the dance community in Québec City.

Danse K par K creates works that seek to reveal human fragility in concrete and sensitive forms, by integrating digital culture expertise into its choreographic approach and its creative philosophy.
Social Vision
Danse K par K aims to solidify its leadership in contemporary dance in the province of Québec by contributing to transformations in society. To achieve this, the organization presents innovative artistic experiences using dance as a language and vehicle for emotions. It primarily relies on creative and outreach activities that value the human person, cooperation, and living together in a fair and environmentally respectful way.
Workshops and Outreach
The company offers workshops open to everyone, based on Karine Ledoyen’s creative process and grounded in the concept of games; by establishing rules and exploring ways to circumvent them through various strategies, creativity emerges. In the Challenge Through Games workshop, participants discover opportunities for artistic freedom, community building and the sharing of creative tools. These activities generate opportunities to create connections among work teams, opening up new creative paths that are accompanied and encouraged.
Since 2022, Danse K par K has been involved with youths through the project The Dancing Paths, a program of activities that are cultural and creative. The project takes shape annually in collaboration with community and artistic organizations in the central neighborhoods of Québec City.

Cultural outreach provides an opportunity to connect with your local environment, becoming familiar with and enjoying attending and participating in artistic activities, developing critical thinking, sharing in the creative process of artists, developing new skills, acquiring new knowledge and meeting your fellow citizens.
Karine Ledoyen wants cultural outreach to be a tool the community can use for unexpected encounters, problem-solving and lasting change.

Eco-Responsibility
Danse K par K is very attentive to the use of human, material, financial and intangible resources throughout all stages of its research, creation, presentation, outreach and market development activities. The company also calculates the impact of its travel in terms of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) generated by all its activities. Because every gesture counts.
