About the Artists

Stacey Désilier

Choreographer and performer

Passionate about movement, the possibilities of the body and the power of dance, Stacey quickly realized she wanted to make it her profession. She pursued professional studies at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, which led her to collaborate with choreographers and performers such as Marie-Claire Forté, Sasha Kleinplatz, George Stamos, Hélène Simard and Mélanie Demers, who brought her back to her roots in urban dance and her Haitian cultural heritage.
In 2018, Stacey joined the company Animals of Distinction and took part in their new creation FRONTERA. She then set out to discover the world through movement, collaborating with Cirque Éloize, Les 7 Doigts de la main, Opéra de Québec (Starmania) and Tentacle Tribe.
Her artistic practice and collaborative work provide her with a deep inner richness that she hopes to share with a wide range of organizations, countries and artists.

Roger Cournoyer

Sound designer

Originally from the Manicouagan region, Roger is a singer-songwriter, musician and self-taught sound designer. Since 2006, he has lent his ear to music albums, theatre pieces, contemporary dance works and short films. An avid music lover, he draws inspiration from a wide range of musical worlds in his compositions.
Roger Cournoyer creates his musical material through an analogue approach to digital technologies. Instruments and spaces with rich, complex, dark and organic timbres shape the works he composes.
