About the Artists
Jessica Serli
Choreographer and performer
A graduate of the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (2005), Jessica Serli is active in the Montréal contemporary dance community as a performer, choreographer and rehearsal director. She has appeared in numerous choreographic projects led by artists such as Line Nault, Créations Estelle Clareton, Danse Carpe Diem and Human Playground. As a choreographer, she has created -40 Degrés (2005), Entre-Deux (2008), La Fièvre (2013), Petite Faille (2015), Faille: deux corps sur le comptoir (Tangente 2016, Offta 2017, Réseau Accès Culture 2018), Cesca (Osez! solo 2020 / Danse K par K) and La Scala (EDCM 2021).
Her choreographic work explores the relationship between nervous and visceral sensations and the configuration of the body and movement. Identity, restrained expression, transformation and hyperactivity are the themes running through her creations and artistic practice. Since February 2020, Jessica has been a guest artist at Les Muses: Centre des arts de la scène, where she teaches the choreography process course.
Antoine Berthiaume
Sound designer
A Montréal native, Antoine Berthiaume is a composer active in the fields of improvisation, contemporary music, dance, theatre and film. Initially a jazz guitarist, his work has been enriched through collaborations with creators such as Marie-Ève Milot, Alan Lake, Parts and Labour and Louise Lecavalier, as well as with companies including Cavalia, Cirque du Soleil, La Bande à Paul, Epsilon Games and Moment Factory.
His music appears on a dozen releases on both Québec and international labels. An occasional columnist for Classical Guitar Magazine, he holds a master’s degree in contemporary music and a doctorate in digital music from the Université de Montréal.
