About the Artists
Julia-Maude Cloutier
Choreographer and performer
Cofounder of the collective Le CRue, Julia-Maude is a performer, choreographer and dance teacher. Her artistic approach is rooted in the relationship between people and place: how does a location and its passersby influence creation? How can the artist, through a danced or even poetic action, reveal a familiar space in a new way?
Her complementary practices to contemporary dance — including parkour, the creation of dance short films and incursions into performance art — shape her use of space and her shifting perspectives, allowing her to blur the boundary between performer and audience, and between everyday life and artistic performance.
She can be seen as a performer in site-specific works, dance films and multidisciplinary performances with, among others, Fleuve Espace, Danse K par K and Code Universel.
Michel F. Côté
Sound designer
Composer and musician Michel F. Côté creates for theatre and dance, with more than a hundred collaborations to his name. In dance, he has contributed to the works of Catherine Tardif, Louise Bédard, Benoît Lachambre and Sylvain Émard; in theatre, to those of Wajdi Mouawad, Simon Boudreault, Martin Faucher and Robert Lepage.
He is the co–artistic director of the dance company Et Marianne et Simon. He is affiliated with the Ambiances Magnétiques label and is the cofounder of the &records label, in addition to directing a new imprint called Sono Sordo.
He performs within the ensembles Mecha Fixes Clocks, Klaxon Gueule, Jane & the Magick Bananas, Pink Saliva, Vulgarités, and Tiari Kese, a duo with himself.
