About the Artists
Fabien Piché
Choreographer and performer
Fabien Piché grew up in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region and completed his training at the École de danse de Québec in 2010. Since then, he has pursued his curiosity for movement and the act of performance alongside artists such as Alan Lake, Jacques Poulin-Denis, Karine Ledoyen, Harold Rhéaume, Lina Cruz, Théâtre Rude Ingénierie and Jacynthe Carrier.
He is interested in the human body in action within handmade, physically exhilarating environments, fueled by a festive spirit. He lives in Québec City.
Roger Cournoyer
Sound designer
Shaped from a young age by rock, blues, funk, jazz and film music, his melodic and minimalist exploration led him to discover contemporary ambient and experimental artists. Initially devoted to composition and production, his singular research has evolved toward free composition, where intuition meets sensitivity. Encounter and spontaneity lie at the heart of his artistic evolution.
His recent collaborations can be heard in contemporary dance works such as Human Body Expression – Resonance, LeCrue – Ceux qui restent, and Danse K par K – Danse de salon and Osez! 2018; in theatre productions with Une autre compagnie de théâtre – Le Kodak de mon arrière-grand-père; and in short films including El Perro Del Norte, Vida de simios and Ô doux vodou.
