It’s already been a week since the beginning of OSEZ! 2026, and the team has been busy!
We kicked things off with a flash residency at Parc de la Cetière, led by Finnish choreographer Riikka Kosola. Mother Nature had other plans, however, and the team of performers had to move indoors, performing among the exhibitions at EXMURO’s Aire publique, accompanied by cellist Marie-Loup Cottinet. The evening came to a beautiful close with a conversation between Riikka and visual artist Karine Locatelli, in front of an attentive audience.
We then headed to the studios at Maison pour la danse de Québec for the rest of the week, where we welcomed choreographer Natalia Vallebona. The culture of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles took centre stage during Friday’s panel discussion, as our guests Sylvie Landuyt, Amarine Rignanese, Garance Maillot, Nathanaël Petit and Natalia Vallebona shared their respective artistic practices. On Saturday evening, we finally had the chance to see Natalia’s choreographic work unfold, accompanied by percussionist Mélissa Labbé, who added her energy to that of Marie-Loup Cottinet.

Now, we’re setting the table for a new adventure with choreographer James Gnam. Coming to us from Vancouver, James will draw inspiration from the St. Lawrence River, accompanied by the musical creativity of Nicolas Jobin. Come see the result of their work this Saturday at 7 or 8 p.m. at Maison pour la danse.
We also invite you to discover other artists whose practices revolve around the river during a panel discussion bringing together author Roxanne Bouchard, performer Sylvie Tourangeau, and dance artist Ivanie Aubin-Malo, who will join James Gnam for a conversation. Join us on Wednesday, September 16 at 5 p.m.
