The Stakes Through Play: Experimenting with and designing one’s own “games” to begin creative work from the body, in alignment with artistic intentions.

The aim of this approach is to offer new triggers that support creative work for dancers and choreographers, while also encouraging collective creation. The workshop is led by choreographer Karine Ledoyen.

Collaboration with Université Laval
Since 2020, Danse K par K has been collaborating with the Faculty of Nursing at Université Laval as part of a pilot project, also contributing to the writing of a scientific article. This project offers movement workshops to nursing students with the goal of stimulating creativity, strengthening self-confidence, and encouraging critical reflection.
These workshops invite future nurses to work with their bodies in playful and original ways, pushing them out of their comfort zones. This movement-based approach opens up new ways of communicating and interacting—essential skills in the field of care.
Through the “Stakes Through Play” workshop, participants become more aware of their bodies in space, their interactions with others, and develop their listening and empathy skills. This approach enriches their nursing training by offering a perspective that is different yet complementary to traditional theory and practice.
