La Poudrière, a danced fresco exploring humanity through time.
At the heart of the work, time serves as a dramaturgical key. Through freeze-frame moments, the choreography attempts to suspend instants while exploring the repetitions and ruptures of History. These pauses invite reflection on the recurring cycles of human experience, addressing universal themes such as solidarity and collaboration.
The artistic team seeks to create living tableaux, at times evoking the work of great painters. Inspired by the concept of the homo confort, the piece questions modern individualism and imagines an utopian society where solidarity and mutual support prevail over the pursuit of convenience.
A heartfelt thank you to the MNBAQ for hosting the residency.
