By invitation of Stellaris DansTeater, in collaboration with Arctic Dance Network, Danse K par K is heading to Norway for the very first time in its history! This unique edition of Dare!, celebrating dance in all its Nordic glory, will take place in Hammerfest, as part of the DanseFestival Barents. Three choreographers from three different countries will take turns creating over three days, each drawing inspiration from the previous day’s work, building a choreographic oeuvre like a game of domino toppling. Each day, a different creation will be presented to the public at the Solveig Leinan-Hermo Studio at the Arktisk kultursenter in Hammerfest.
Three choreographers – Karine Ledoyen (Canada), Rebecca Laube-Pohto (Finland) and Liv Hanne Haugen (Norway) – will work as a team with six performers: Ariane Voineau (Canada), Meï Thongsoume (Canada), Titta Court (Finland), Laura Feodoroff (Finland), Yohei Hamada (Norway) and Ellinor Staurbakk (Norway).
Presented on November 4, 5, and 6, 2025, Dare! in Hammerfest is a creative exercise that transcends language barriers, a cultural exchange where dance triumphs as a universal means of expression. For complete details, visit the festival website.
