From June 24 to 28, children from Québec City’s central neighbourhoods had the chance to experience something truly unique: the creation of a multidisciplinary performance under the guidance of professional artists. With Karine Ledoyen, Danielle Boutin, Emmanuelle Lê Phan, Pascal Asselin, Romane Picard, Samy Girard, and Victoria Côté, the group succeeded in creating a show that reflects who they are, drawing on each participant’s strengths and talents. The end-of-residency showing took place on June 28 during a late-afternoon gathering.
This residency is made possible thanks to the support of Le Pignon Bleu, the Basse-Ville Joujouthèque, and Productions Recto-Verso. Special thanks as well to Engramme, the Maison pour la danse de Québec, Recto-Verso, La Remise culturelle, and Tentacle Tribe, who made our spring workshops possible.
